Free 15 minute phone consultation

Take the first step to change. Call me for a free initial 15-minute consultation. Just reading this and thinking about making a call for support, is altering the story for you, your child or your family. During this call, I will listen and hear your story, share my initial thoughts. In the end, if we agree, we will schedule your first appointment. If you or I feel you need something different …I will help you with referrals. I want to end the call with you feeling heard and having an initial idea of where you want to go.

If you are concerned that it’s not an option with the COVID restrictions in place, I want you to know that teletherapy works! Waiting to find the answers you want isn’t necessary! So, take that step, and call. I’m here and ready to listen.

You deserve joy in your Next Chapter!

The First Appointment

In the first appointment, we will get the housekeeping paperwork out of the way. Then you and I will begin to get to know each other.

Coming to therapy, it can be scary or even feel shameful. I work in my sessions to create a safe place to say those hard thoughts and feelings, by using an open heart and mind. I consider you the expert on you. I am your expert guide to wellness. Therapy is a journey that is shared.

I want you to always know that you are a partner in your therapy. I’m here and listening.

Next Appointments

During these appointments, you and I will look to make small changes in your life, give words to feelings, discover or remind you of your strengths! Yes even now, you have strengths you may not realize are there. We will look at how you will know you are better. I want to show you the light at the end. Together we will look for small goals, progress, and focus on what you need to begin to heal.

Remember, we are partners in this journey. The focus is getting you to that Next Chapter where you live the life you deserve and desire!

Insurance

At this time I am a private pay only for counseling. The reason for being a private pay practice is this: most insurance companies want you to be diagnosed with a mental condition, they usually dictate how many sessions, and what type of therapy you can have.

Not everyone fits into a specific box, and sometimes all people need is a little support-tailored to their specific concern.

I believe these decisions are best made between you and the therapist.

Gloria Gibson Counseling is considered an out-of-network provider with regards to insurance. I will gladly provide you with the receipts and documentation needed so that you may file with your insurance yourself if you so desire. It is your responsibility to pay the fee in full at each session.

If you wish to use your insurance, I highly recommend speaking with them directly regarding your mental health out-of-network benefits prior to our initial in office session.

Some questions to consider asking are:

  • Do I have mental health benefits with my plan?
  • If I do, may I see out-of-network providers and still be covered?
  • What is the reimbursement rate if I choose to use an out-of-network provider?
  • Do I need pre-approval or a referral before I can use out-of-network benefits?
  • How do I submit my claim for reimbursement?

These are just a few things to think about if you choose to use any mental health benefits you may have currently.
